Timira Lockheart

Outreach Coordinator, National Wildlife Federation

Timira Lockheart is the Outreach Coordinator for the Restore the Mississippi River Delta Coalition. She is from Stone Mountain, GA, and grew to love the outdoors through connecting her love of science to food systems. As an undergrad at Alcorn State University, she focused her studies on monitoring the environmental quality of cropland and adjacent areas through soil and water analysis. Over time, she grew to love the educational side of environmental science and conservation after various opportunities and recently received her M.S. in Plant, Environmental, and Soil Science with a focus in Environmental Communications. She is looking forward to working in the Coalition to continue fighting for the people of the Louisiana Coast through major conservation efforts.
