Tulane Climate Action Day is a day of interdisciplinary discussions of climate change and approaches to action. The keynote speakers will be Dr. Timmons Roberts, a sociologist from Brown University active politically on climate change and social justice; and Dr. Katharine Hayhoe, Texas Tech University, a climate scientist who has gained a well-deserved reputation nationally speaking to Christian audiences about the need to act on climate change. The day also includes sessions on “Climate Justice: Socio-environmental Change and Collective Responses,” “Living with Water: Tulane’s Place in the Watershed,” “The War on Climate Science: Combatting Misinformation and Attack Politics,” and a session on student responses.
