Portia Mastin
Coastal Conservation Policy Manager, National Audubon Society
Portia Mastin is the Coastal Conservation Policy Manager for the National Audubon Society. At Audubon, she works primarily on federal coastal restoration and resilience, with a specialization in Gulf coastal policy. She serves on the MRD policy committees, working on issues including Mississippi River management for coastal community and habitat resilience, coastal wetland conservation and restoration, and flood mitigation.
Portia received her B.A. in Political Science from Indiana University before moving to New Orleans to receive her J.D. and Certificate of Specialization in Environmental and Energy Law from Tulane University School of Law. Prior to joining Audubon, Portia worked as a Senior Research Fellow with the Tulane Institute on Water Resources Law and Policy, where she conducted legal policy research on Louisiana coastal, marine, and freshwater issues.
