Donnie Davidson

Donald C. Davidson earned a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of New Orleans (UNO), where he developed a strong foundation in coastal systems, field methods, and ecological monitoring. Prior to that, he served as an environmental steward with the National Park Service at Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. There, he contributed to long-term environmental monitoring and analysis programs and engaged in conservation outreach and education. His professional interests include using science and community-informed policy to advance coastal restoration, natural resource management, and other environmental decisions to better protect coastal communities and conserve important ecosystems.
Outside of his professional work, Donald is an avid reader, hiker, kayaker, athlete, and musician. His diverse interests and experiences continue to fuel his passion for ecosystem restoration, environmental justice, and science communication.
