Samantha is a communications professional with 10 years’ experience in delivering impactful strategies, telling compelling stories, and managing cross-functional projects. Throughout her career, she has produced award-winning documentaries, led campaigns for major partnerships and initiatives, and secured top-tier press hits. On Capitol Hill, she served as the Press Secretary for a congressman on the House Agriculture and Transportation & Infrastructure Committees, where she navigated competing stakeholder interests to ensure the office communicated clearly and empathetically about complex and nuanced environmental issues. After transitioning out of government and into advocacy, she led communications at Ocean Conservancy for Government Relations, Sustainable Fisheries, and Florida Conservation where she used her experience communicating with diverse audiences around nuanced issues to support sustainability efforts with commercial and recreational fishermen, lead communications campaigns for major partnerships and initiatives, and develop brand identity, thought leadership, and visibility. In her current role at Environmental Defense Fund, she works with stakeholders and partners to support climate resilience for coastal and watershed communities.
