We wanted to post a quick heads up about a string of events we’re running next week around the BP oil spill anniversary. As you probably know, next Friday, April 20th will mark two years since the Deepwater Horizon BP oil spill (I know, I can’t believe it either). But even today, oil is still washing up on the shores of one of our nation’s most precious landscapes. Dubbed the largest marine oil spill in the history of the petroleum industry, our nation’s gulf coast is still suffering from the impacts of this devastating event.
