The city also has a plan to restore ecologically important wetlands in the region by diverting rivers. Mississippi River to crest Thursday – Monday at 15.7 feet in New Orleans

“The Mississippi River’s unusually late summer 2015 crest is now scheduled to arrive in New Orleans at the Carrollton Gage on Thursday (July 23), at 15.7 feet above sea level. That water level is expected to last through Monday, according to the National Weather Service’s Lower Mississippi River Forecast Center in Slidell.” (Read More)
