New video of gushing oil, visual timeline of oil spill to debut on 16-foot LED billboard outside courthouse
**Interview and photo opportunities**
Phase II of the 2010 BP oil disaster civil trial is scheduled to begin Monday, September 30, 2013. Representatives from three of America’s leading conservation organizations will be onsite at the U.S. District Court in New Orleans and available for interviews. Experts and new visuals will deliver a clear message: BP must be held accountable to the full extent of the law for one of our nation’s largest environmental disasters. Gulf ecosystems, and the economies and communities they support, are still damaged and must be restored.
WHAT: Interview and photo opportunities with conservation experts before BP trial resumes and during lunch recess:
A new video with a powerful visual timeline of the oil spill and constant footage of gushing oil will debut on a 16-foot, high-definition, LED video billboard at 6 am Monday morning on display outside the courthouse. The video will play on loop Monday and Tuesday. This compelling visual opportunity will be available for television news teams and photographers as a reminder of the millions of barrels of oil spilled into the Gulf and its unresolved impacts.
